In a Killer Sudoku, an innie is a cell that does not belong to any of the selected cages, but lies inside the tested house(s). It is used in the 45 rule, a solving technique used for Killer Sudokus. The digit for a single innie can be calculated as follows:
(number of tested houses) x 45 - (sum of selected cages)
The orange cell r3c3 is an innie for nonet 1. Its value is 45 - (3 + 12 + 9 + 15) = 6.
